What happened
Expense platform SAP Concur says AI-generated receipts have become realistic enough to fool experienced reviewers. AppZen found about 14 percent of fraudulent documents in September were AI-generated, compared with none the previous year, and Ramp uncovered over $1 million in fake invoices in 90 days.
