What happened
IBM security researchers ran an 'audio-jacking' proof of concept that combined language recognition, text generation and voice cloning to detect a 'bank account' mention in a live call and replace the account number. The team said the attack was 'surprisingly and scarily easy' and warned of a 'significant risk to consumers' if refined.
