What happened
During Victoria's 2026 election campaign, Victorian Labor posted an AI-generated video depicting Liberal leader Jess Wilson saying US-style healthcare costs would apply under a Liberal government, which she denies saying. The Liberals also posted AI-generated videos of Premier Ben Carroll asleep at his desk, and Advance Australia released an AI video depicting a fabricated Labor election-night victory.
