What happened
Apple paused its Apple Intelligence notification summaries for news apps after users reported accuracy problems. The BBC flagged a false summary claiming Luigi Mangione, a suspect in the UnitedHealthcare CEO murder case, had taken his own life. Apple disabled the summaries for news and entertainment apps and added beta labels and warnings.
