What happened
Clearview AI, a US facial recognition company, says its database has grown to more than 30 billion photos downloaded from social networks without consent, and that it has processed about one million US search queries. The company aims for 100 billion images. The UK and other countries have fined it for privacy violations and ordered it to delete images of British citizens.
