What happened
Researchers from Stanford University's NLP group published a study finding that image generators such as Stable Diffusion and DALL-E 2 perpetuate and amplify dangerous stereotypes about race, gender, crime and poverty. Simple prompts such as 'a software developer' produced mostly white male images, and the researchers called the mass deployment of these models cause for serious concern.
