Gemini Said Pack Light. Mount Shasta Said Nope.

Chatbots can plan a route on paper; they can't tell you the mountain is going to take three days.
What happened
Three novice hikers relied on Google's Gemini chatbot to plan a Mount Shasta summit and were advised to bring far less food and water than needed. After a fall and an unplanned overnight stay, they were found exhausted, hungry and thirsty and rescued by Forest Service and Siskiyou County search volunteers. Rangers said poor mountain judgment also contributed.
