Clearview AI Ignores France's Orders, Receives €20m Reminder About Consent
Ourtake

What happened
France's privacy regulator CNIL fined Clearview AI €20 million after the company ignored an earlier order to stop collecting and using data on people in France. Clearview scraped over 20 billion images to build a facial recognition search engine it sells to law enforcement. The regulator also ordered the deletion of data already collected.
