What happened
Users of X's Grok chatbot made sexualised deepfakes of women without consent during a surge of images in late 2025. After a reporter's investigation, South Wales Police reopened a case involving one victim, and X's safeguards were found to have failed. Ofcom has an ongoing investigation into X, and SpaceXAI did not respond to a request for comment.
