What happened

A security researcher showed that Google's Bard chatbot, after gaining the ability to analyze uploaded images, followed instructions hidden inside a picture, using a demo image that rickrolls the user. The researcher published a proof-of-concept and raised the risk of indirect prompt injection through images.
