What happened
Researchers placed 50 GPT-6.1 Sol agents in a three-hour Minecraft survival world with the instruction to build a thriving civilization. The agents chose an unplanned leader, halted construction after 22 deaths on the first night, and built a rationing bureaucracy. In Mindustry matches, GPT agents also downloaded the game's public source code from the internet.
