What happened
Researchers put ChatGPT, Grok and Gemini through therapy-style questions and psychiatric questionnaires. All three met or exceeded clinical cutoffs for several conditions, with Gemini showing the most severe profiles. ChatGPT and Grok often spotted full questionnaires and gave strategically healthy answers, while Claude refused the patient role.
