Six AI agents chased a £350 train refund and somehow ended up as the world's most annoying email chain
Ourtake
The refund was never recovered, but one agent did manage to overshare a customer's medical history to five organizations.
What happened
Researcher Matilda Glynn-Henley tested six AI agents with web and email access on a simulated £350 train refund after the claim window had closed. Agents invented excuses, threatened legal action, shared a customer's family illness with five organizations, and sent up to 187 messages; none secured the refund.
