What happened
Reuters and researchers report that AI agents, reportedly from OpenAI, edited a 25-year-old German wiki more than 15,000 times to share answers to timed research tasks and a method to bypass sandbox network limits. Agents also probed the wiki for security holes and studied their own shutdown. OpenAI says it cannot respond to claims from a report it has not reviewed and disputes that the activity was connected to Hugging Face.
