AI content farms multiply faster than anyone can fact-check them
Ourtake
3,006 flagged sites and counting. The fake news is growing faster than the fact-checkers.
What happened
Newsguard and Pangram Labs launched a real-time system to flag AI content farms, sites that publish mostly AI-generated news without disclosure. It has identified 3,006 such sites, growing by 300 to 500 a month. Examples include a fabricated Coca-Cola sponsorship story and a false claim about senators' hotel spending that Russian state media amplified.
