What happened
Las Vegas police said a 37-year-old former soldier used ChatGPT and other generative AI tools to research explosives, projectile velocities and fireworks before detonating a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump Hotel on New Year's Day. The attacker died by suicide at the scene and seven people suffered minor injuries. OpenAI said the chatbot only provided publicly available information.
