What happened
A study by AlgorithmWatch and AI Forensics found that Microsoft's Bing Chat gave incorrect answers about the Bavarian, Hessian and Swiss federal elections, including wrong poll figures, invented candidates and incorrect party lists. Microsoft said it had improved accuracy, but AlgorithmWatch said the company only addressed specific issues. The European Commission said the findings were highly relevant under the Digital Services Act.
