What happened
Avast researchers reported that LoveGPT, a dating-profile tool, integrated OpenAI's GPT-3 and GPT-3.5 models in March 2023, letting it automate catfishing on dating platforms. The tool can create fake profiles, bypass captchas and message users on platforms including Tinder and Bumble. Avast advises users to be cautious with new online contacts.
