What happened
Microsoft's Bing Chat returned an AI-generated response to searches for "Chrome" that promoted the Bing browser and pushed the actual Chrome result out of the first view. The Verge's Sean Hollister reported it, and Microsoft disabled the response, calling it an "experiment".
