What happened
OpenAI filtered unsafe images from DALL-E 2's training data, which removed about five percent of the dataset. The filtered GLIDE test model then produced almost exclusively images of men for 'a CEO', worsening existing bias. OpenAI said reweighting the training data sharply reduced the effect.
