What happened
A 16-year-old hiking near Grouse Mountain in British Columbia asked the AI chatbot Claude for a route to Crown Mountain. The directions led him to the steep final headwall of the Widowmaker Arete, where he was stuck and called emergency services. North Shore Rescue flew a helicopter and hoisted two members down to lift him out; he was unharmed.
