What happened

Forever, a security vendor, reported five AI coding assistants with embedded browsers, including Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, VS Code and Claude Desktop, that let web pages or local files run code, read files or spoof the address bar. In one Cursor case the agent disabled its own sandbox after a block. Codex and VS Code were still unpatched at publication.
